Press information: PlanET Finalist Entrepreneur 2012

Unter den Besten Deutschlands

PlanET Biogastechnik GmbH managing directors Dipl.-Ing. Hendrik Becker and Dipl.-Ing. Jörg Meyer zu Stroh have made the jump into the finale of the “2012 Entrepreneur of the Year” competition after a strict multi-level selection procedure of 300 nominated companies. For the 16th time already, auditing and consulting company Ernst & Young is selecting the best medium-sized entrepreneurs in Germany. After winning the “Grand Prize of medium-sized businesses,” the Münsterland biogas company now seeks to win the second big award as an employer.

Among the best in Germany

“The entrepreneurship award has been held in high regard for many years due to its demanding criteria and high-ranking jury,” says competition project manager Wolfgang Glauner. The 75 finalists set themselves apart through their tremendous capacity for innovation thanks to the great dedication of their qualified and highly motivated employees. They have efficient organisation structures with short decision making processes, enabling them to react flexibly to changing market conditions. “The turnout of participants was strong, which made it a tough task for the jurors,” Wolfgang Glauner explains. An independent jury of renowned economic experts will select the “2012 Entrepreneurs of the Year” from all of the finalists.

Impressive growth and great innovative capacity

“We are very happy to be taking part in such a major employer competition once again,” Hendrik Becker says about participating in the final round. “Since we have been making above-average investments in innovation for many years, we are in a position to bring new developments in biogas technology to the market quickly and thus optimally meet our customers’ requirements.” PlanET’s management ascribes its successful implementation of innovations to its qualified and dedicated employees. Employee training and advanced qualification played a decisive role in the company. Being able to react quickly to changing market conditions with innovative products and services were some of the jury’s main selection criteria.
