PlanET News: Two awards honouring long-term work
Growth and performance honoured
PlanET Biogastechnik GmbH has received two major brand awards recently. First PlanET has been awarded with the badge of honour of the ‘Große Preis des Mittelstands’ (grand award for midsized enterprises) of the Oskar Patzelt foundation. This award is reserved for businesses who were already honoured by the foundation as award recipients in the previous years. With this, the foundation pays tribute to midsized enterprises who continuously provide best performances. The ´Große Preis des Mittelstands` is the most important business award in Germany. Furthermore PlanET received the Deloitte Fast 50 Award from the worldwide operating Deloitte & Touche GmbH, which is specialized on accounting.
The badge of honour of the ‘Große Preis des Mittelstands’ (grand award for midsized enterprises) is awarded to enterprises who have proven sustainable growth, socio-political responsibility and entrepreneurial aptitude for several years. „The judges had been convinced that we, as the winner of the year 2006, have increased our turnover five-fold since then,“ Jörg Meyer zu Strohe, Executive Partner of the PlanET Biogas Group, is delighted to say. “Now, our company has 16 trainees and co-operates closely with regional schools to improve awareness for the protection of the climate and the sustainable creation of value in a generation-spanning way,” says the founder of the company.
Benchmark of excellence for company success
To take over responsibility, as a powerful employer in Northrhine-Westfalia, for the further structural development of the rural region and simultaneously to pursue economic business objectives, is no contrast for Hendrik Becker, an Executive Partner of the PlanET Biogas Group, but forms the two sides of a medal. „With our internal concepts for training and further education, we offer a chance to young professionals to commit themselves in an internationally acting company with regional ties. In addition to our high innovation potential, these criteria gain more and more in importance for job seekers. We think that the orientation of the company objectives only towards growth is not up-to-date anymore,” Hendrik Becker feels certain.
Key facts Fast 50 Award
The second award honours the fastest growing technology companies in Germany regarding the cumulative growth in sales of the last five years. The PlanET Biogas Group gained a rate of 389,9 percent and is the only company dealing with renewable energy, which is listed in the top 50 ranking. “The business area of renewable energies makes an enormous contribution to the economy and provides highly innovative jobs in Germany. It is important that we set a strong symbol by receiving the Deloitte Fast 50 Award, which shows that biogas companies can compete for economic indicators and criteria for success”, Roland Becker, general manager of PlanET, said.
